Is this the remake of "Blood Tie" ?

Nope! it's the remake of the French movie Les liens du sang (2008) and based on the book “Deux frères: flic & truand” (“Two Brothers: Cop and Gangster”) that was published in 1999.

ah! i knew i have read it somewhere it was a remake and "Blood Tie" what the one that came to my head. thank you =)
