Audience was yelling, clapping, cheering…everyone had an absolute blast. Seats twisting and rumbling, strobe lights flashing when the flares shoot off, burning smoke when engines catch on fire, water spritzing when on the sea with a floating sensation, the smell of ocean and beach, wind blowing on the aircraft deck, snow falling…man what a trip.
Is it necessary? Nope. But damn it was entertaining.
I keep hearing about 4DX but I've never run across a theater that actually offers it. Do they really spray you with water? Shit sounds crazy.
shareThe water effect is more like a spray of mist or when it's a rain sequence some sprinkles from the cieling onto you. It's not enough to get you soaked or anything, but you'll feel it for sure.
shareSaw it in 4DX opening night. I try to go see as many blockbusters in 4DX as I can and they was by far one of my favorite experiences in the format. The jet flying sequences were probably the most immersed I've ever felt in the format. We for some reason didn't get any smoke effects in our theater though.
shareA friend of mine mentioned it a while back, and seeing your post I got to looking and there is one a good drive away from my house, but after seeing the crazy stuff that is 4DX, I got my ticket for tomorrow night. It sounds absolutely bonkers, I am in! It will be worth checking out at least once. I am pumped up for it!
