I hate this already

I know this is terribly premature of me when I've only watched half the trailer and I will give it a shot when it comes out I suppose....but I've read Allison Pearson's book so many times that I just cannot stop thinking Kate Reddy is not American. She's such a quintessentially British character that I can't see SJP pulling this off at all, it's like making Bridget Jones from LA. So wrong!

I don't really get the big deal. Who cares where the character is from? I don't think changing the location from the book will affect the movie at all.

"I was tired of January... tired of June... I felt a change a coming..."

The title also describes how I felt when I watched the trailer. It really showed how SJP cant act very well outside of SATC. All her hand gestures; I just kept seeing Carrie.

The movie itself doesnt seem to have a lot of depth or heart. Why was it such a great bestselling book that they made a movie out of it? It doesnt seem interesting; just a woman whos so busy and doesnt have time for her kids or husband bc shes working all the time. I just dont get it; I think it will flop I'm sorry. Or maybe I'll be a surprise hit. Sometimes I watch a trailer and think its awful and then it turns out to be a popular movie.

I am so mad it will not take place in England!

I agree, they did the same thing to the Confessions of A Shopaholic book series by turning the woman into an American and it bombed. Besides, I can only see SJP as Carrie anyways.

Could you give it a second? Is the speed of light not fast enough for you?
