Seriously....

Are all westerner's like this? Can't balance family life, because both parents are career oriented individuals, although they are supposed to be a unit?

Do you not find parents who both work and put in family time making sure they always put family first?

Or maybe it is the nature of the industry the parents work in? I suppose those financial institutions, that put profit over all else first, is not only responsible for a global economic crisis, but also a demise in cultural and family values.

I really hope this movie doesn't portray real western life, because if it does... slow down people!

Its what I call a meme pusher. It pushes an ideology on people and yes, unfortunately, it does portray the idea of life some, possibly most people have. When you're told the idea life is to have a house, nice cars, dress in nice high fashion and acquire an established career where you can at least make six figures or close to it....what part of your life do you think will suffer? Not to mention debt (becoming slaves to lenders) etc which forces you to maintaion that job or level of financial income.

What really bothers me is for all the complaining and moaning, we put ourselves in this situation. Now everything is billed on two incomes instead of one. We placed ourselves in this situation in the so-called "western progressive" societies.
