Did your theater laugh at some parts?

Sure, some scenes and lines are meant to be funny, but I was actually surprised that my theater laughed at some of the more serious parts of the film.

I don't think that was intentional. I feel like almost every scene between Claire and Ray got some laughs from the audience, even when they weren't supposed to be there. Kind of odd in tone.

Your audience must have been odd.

I laughed at the little doggy. Otherwise, no one laughed at anything.

No laughing in my theater. Not even the part when Ray told Jesus she looked a million years old.

No laughing. Not much to laugh at, and certainly no inadvertent humor.

Guess my audience was super odd then.

This movie definitely had quite a few intentional funny parts. There was quite a bit of laughing.

I loved the humor, and they didn't let it get in the way of the overall more serious tone of the movie.

Great movie. I was shocked given its rotten tomatoes score.

One part where my friend and I laughed was when we first saw Jess in 2015... she looked like a skeleton.

There were many laughs when Julia Roberts first appeared in 2015 in my theater too. She looked like a crazy homeless lady. If she didn't have a great acting and justify her look those people in theater would laugh each time they see her I guess.

When the guy kicked the dog.
