They were all so dull, sententious, staid, especially Ray..I can't quite express how
tedious they were as an ensemble...
Maybe the whole thing was a misunderstanding and the daughter just
decided to kill herself herself.
I liked the Ray character, but in at least one sense, you are right: They seemed to have skipped over the entire concept of "innocent until proven guilty".

they did rather. He kind of confessed though. Confession aren't always a hundred per cent reliable though. They were all too close to the case though. Nicole Kidman was the exception but it could be argued even she lost her 'justice is blind' perspective when she was in the interrogation room
