It's Time For Julia To Glam It Up Again

shareShe would make an excellent Mrs Doyle if they ever remake Father Ted
In fact that would have made a better ending to the movie:
"go on, have a cup, go on, go on"
Marzin: "please, tell her to stop offering me tea, please"
That would've been justice indeed
Now that is hilarious, and do love me some Julia. Awesome post, Rick.
I know every actress loves to gain a certain level of fame, then try and look as dressed down as possible to show "range," but truly: Look at Julia's blockbusters: Pretty Woman, Flatliners, Sleeping With The Enemy, My Best Friend's Wedding, Erin Brockovich...heck, even in Dying Young, they made her wear extensions (her hair was short) so she'd look more like Vivian from Pretty Woman.
I don't know if there's ever been another actress besides Farrah Fawcett who's been so associated with her hair, but it's true. Julia with big, red hair is always gonna be a sure-fire winner, even as she's gracefully aged. She's still our Pretty Woman. :)
Side note- That red bob wig she's sporting in "Mother's Day" is horrible. Maybe we can hope for "Sleeping With the Enemy 2" or "My Other Best Friend's Wedding."
thanks, it took me a while to actually work out that it was actually Julia Roberts. Given her previous roles it was actually quite brave of her to play such a dowdy character. I'm not sure it was one of her better roles though, but still kudos for effort. It will be interesting to see what she does next, but its quite possible her big hair days are over
BTW if you look at pictures of Pauline McLynn the actress who played Mrs Doyle when she dresses normally she's conventionally attractive
