That in some scenes Nicole's hair has long but then in others it was shorter? I just thought It was weird but I probably only noticed because she's my favorite actress and probably one of the main reasons why I wanted to see the movie

Good Lord, her change in hairstyle was the clearest indication in the movie as to whether it was 2002(long hair) or 2015(shorter hair).
It was harder to distinguish in the scenes that just featured Roberts and Ejiofor as to what year it was. Ejiofor's beard/hair with some gray in it was the only indication.
