We don't want em! The Old Boy remake was horrible and this is horrible, just stop it! What is next? American version of Miiikes Audition? A remake of La Haine? Just stop!
The original which won an oscar was simply perfect, NO REASON TO REMAKE THIS!
Why are people so hung up about American film makers re-making movies? I really don't understand the absolute negative attitude towards this idea.. I am not an American and in my country film makers make hundreds of films that were made in all kinds of different countries. Why do you guys care so much who makes what.. You can like the original and maybe you can like the second version of it as well.. But just blindly and automatically hating the remakes sound ingenuine (sorry if this is not a word) to me.

If they turned out great or even good (ala The Departed or Let The Right One In) I would be fine with it.
But why bother remaking a classic if you are going to do a horrible job on it? Why not ONLY take on a remake of a classic foreign movie if you are going to do a good job.
What I don't understand is why people like you defend this horrible practice or think its not that bad.
I have a very open mind and I actually like the idea of another version of some of my favorite movies but when over 90% of them are *beep* whats the point?
