One positive change from the original (spoilers):

Julia Roberts. Being a woman, and being America's former sweetheart, made the ending as shocking as it was going to get. Without her, the build up that was served (aka no build up), would have left the twist ending uninteresting. Having it had been Julia Roberts who locked him up, fed him, refused to speak to him, now THAT was interesting. Men can be cold. You don't expect that from Pretty Woman.

Mmm...no. The original script is so much better and rounded.

What is it with Americans that they feel the need to shoot everything! Original film so much better in every way.

I fully agree.

Not only is that not relevant to this post, it's also quite an odd statement. As if Americans are the only ones that remake films. That's a dumb idea. They can just afford to do it more frequently. Sometimes it works out great.

...and I think it was her superb performance that really sold it. I haven't seen her in much, but no one can tell me now that she is not an excellent actress! 

On November 6, 2012 god blessed America...again. 
