Why it is necessary to handle justice for violent crimes by impartial

I can bring both sides together, those who rightly deny vigilante justice and those who say, wait till it happens to you.

First, for the victims or the relatives of victimized loved ones. You're right. If it was my child or other loved one, even if I was anti-capital punishment, anti-gun, I wouldn't be so afterwards. I would be so enraged that I would demand whatever it took to bring in the criminal(s), dead or alive.

AND

For those who denounce vigilante justice, you are right. Revenge is in God's Hands and the courts of justice. This is why people in law enforcement and the legal courts, who have no ties to the victim, must be the ones to deal out justice. This is what keeps our civilization together. We reject the law of the jungle. We even reject the first, codified legal system, the law of Hammurabi, an eye for an eye because even that is unjust.

For every Joe Citizen and Jane Citizen, revenge and vigilante justice are wrong for everyone else, except for 'me' and my loved ones. That is why every Joe and Jane Citizen has to accept that the laws of the land and the courts manage our justice, not the individual.
