One thing I dont get?
She lied about killing him thirteen years ago and instead kept him in a cage? Did she think she was going to get convicted without a body?

shareI guess you could see it in different ways
1- she just told them she killed him to stop others getting hurt and she hoped they wouldnt alert the police.
2- she was exausted and in a way she was hoping the police would get involve and they would find the guy while checking the property.
3- like she said, she was ready to accept whatever they decided.
She lied about killing him because she didn't want them to know the truth. She wanted to keep him locked up for the rest of his life. If she had told them the truth, she would have either had to kill him or let him go, both of which are not options she wanted to entertain.
"This life's hard, man, but it's harder if you're stupid!"
Waht I don't get is why she ends up killing him She was so sure she was against death penalty The ending in the original is better the husband keeps the criminal in a cage and no one ever knows
shareWaht [sic] I don't get is why she ends up killing him... Seriously? You don't get that life imprisonment for him, meant life imprisonment for her?
