Poor remake from a great original

Now that I read about the original, I do wish I saw it first because this one was kind of weird and dull. Jess wasn't even in the movie as much and that was disappointing. What we got was Ray and Claire flirting and it was awkward, then Ray and "Bumpy" acting sloppy for professionals. If the original also focuses in on the romantic affair I'm sure they did it better. This to tried to hollywoodize it but it just didn't fit right. The timing and the direction of action and motivations of the characters was unrelatable. It wasn't horrible and the main twist still shined through but I felt little connection.

very poor, miserable

I have to agree, was really looking forward to this since i loved the original but this was just so flat - no chemistry at all between the romantic leads, very hollywood spoon-feeding the ending & just bad direction.

A shame
