Since the TV series was a total of 3 hours, I'm assuming if this is a re-cutting the of the series that many things were removed. Anyone have an idea of what was cut out? I would be willing to see the film just because the series was so fantastic.

Could be. The movie ran about an hour and fifty minutes with an hour and forty minutes worth of deleted scenes. I had no idea it was a series. Then again, I am an American.
