Filming locations

Usually this info is provided on imdb, but sadly it's missing for this film. I would so love to visit the gorgeous areas featured - I know they were in the Lake District. I was trying to find on the map some places that they'd mentioned but I guess my map is not detailed enough. Trough of Bowland - that's in the Yorkshire Dales, right? And Langden is that lovely valley they walked through. So they started in the east then crossed northwest over to the Lake District. What is the name of that big limestone formation -- where Steve walked up by himself to get some peace, but then this older man kept rattling on with information. Thank ye.

I was hoping this info was provided as well; I would like to know what other movies were filmed in said areas.

I went to google and typed in the words the trip movie filming locations and it gave me a site called moviemaps.org I think. It had pictures of the places and maps including restaurants and when you clicked on them they told you other movies filmed there.

Also in the movie Steve would tell you what roads he took and where he would be turning off onto other roads in the Yorkshire Dales.

I remember the mountain where a man insisted on talking to him was used in Harry Potter.

One place I want to find is the newsagents from Steve's dream where he signs an autograph - all I know is that it's four miles from Buckden and fifteen miles from Skipton.

It's the "Kettlewell Village Store" in Kettlewell.

Two places were Bolton Abbey (east of Skipton, Yorkshire) as well as Grasmere and Rydal in the Lake District (just spent a week there with my boyfriend and it was a great experience, Easedale Tarn and Helm Crag are beautiful - although I imagine pricey if you don't have free accommodation).

That's Malham Cove btw, north of Skipton.
