but terribly repetitive. I wonder if there's a message in the endless loop of sleep, eat, do impression, sleep, eat, do impression....

You're spot on. I was fairly well entertained for the first hour despite this being a trifle of a movie but the second hour was extremely repetitive. If the sequel is as repetitive, I'll be really bummed.
