LOL. I had the same look. Came to this thread to say that hubby thinks CT OWNED this movie, and that KS should have stayed home or gone back to acting school.
shareTotally agree that CT was beautiful and amazing in the film, but keep in mind that both the huntsman's monologue at the beginning and the mother's comment before she dies both reference her purity and beauty of the heart. It's the typical "it's what's inside that counts" crap.

You are absolutely right, and if KS had really played the part well, that message would have come through. But she was so wooden, so vacant...As hubby said, "Does she know the cameras are on? She's acting like she just got dropped into the movie from outer space. She doesn't fit." I agreed.
Another poster mentioned Ellen Page; I would have liked to see her in this part. I think that even though she's small and very feminine, she has enough scren presence to pull off a role like this. God knows she was AMAZING in "Hard Candy." (If you like movies with strong female characters, HC is a must-see. Ellen Page owned that character, and Patrick Wilson was great, too.)
Maybe KS had her mind on other things; she definitely didn't give this part her all.
