dragons

So I'm 28 and never actually played d&d but shouldn't there actually BE DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS in these movies? Even the Eragon movie had a descent dragon;maybe I'm missing the point seeing as how I attended an actual playing of this archaic game and had to whisper to my friend {who was playing it sarcastically to piss someone else off} that all this and more could be experienced in games such as dragon age, skyrim and for real losers like the ones that were in the room with us world of war{douchebags}craft?

Yes, there COULD be Dragons and their COULD be Dungeons. The point of D&D is to use your imagination. Something that RPG's on PC and consoles, whilst being good for the most part, are unable to do. It could be the most non-linear RPG on the planet, but a video game RPG is still limited. It could have 15 different endings. A pen and paper RPG could have one of a million endings. This is one of the reasons I don't play online all that often, because I find videogame RPG's limited.
