I mean, why have I not heard of it before? It is after all a part of this huge franchise. It should get more coverage than a forgotten article on some random site. I do hope, if it gets released, that is on par with the first and the second D&D movie.

Anyway, apart from the movies down below, what other live action dragon movies do you guys and gals know about? Soon to be released, or decades old...

I wonder if the new D&D movie picks up following the TV movie or if it'll run more closer to the original story.

As for adding to your dragon movie list...

1. The Hobbit
2. The Lair of the White Worm
3. The Reluctant Dragon
4. How to train your Dragon

...just to name a few :)

Well, given the fact that it's from SyFy and the previous movie was made by them, I would say that it would stay in some sort of continuity of the original movie series.

As for my request, could you please name more than just a few? :D

I do hope this is for real and the movie will stay true to D&D with lots of spells and monsters and adventuring/questing.
I also can't believe "The Lair of the White Worm" was listed under dragon movies lol, that movie was weird, very weird. Also it was about a blind tunneling carnivorous worm, not really a dragon as far as most people view dragons.

The lord of the rings and the hobbit are based on books. This one is based on a pen and paper\boardgame. Its not so hard to figure out why one os better than the other.

Why they just cant make requiem into a feature film (animated or live action) - I dunno. Send the kids home already! lol

The OP said Live Action Dragon films... but since people have added others... one every seems to have forgotten was animated The Flight of Dragons with (the taken too soon) late John Ritter.

From what I saw of these movies, the special effects are horrible, so I just ignore them.

Also, so far no new movie has been found, so if anyone heard anything, feel free to to write it up.
