It could have been so much better. I feel like it had a good story and decent writing....but....it really needed more time, I would say an extra hour (I saw it on TV so there were commercials). I think a good 2hrs run time would give you time to slow the story down.

I feel like the rate at which characters died off was so rushed, and the ending seemed like a cop out. He just gets a ray of light?? I mean come on. I would like to have a pillar of light come down on him and give him some really nice divine armor and weapon/s. This could be an amazing battle scene as the fallen paladin turned blackgaurd regains his honor as the light of Pelor fills him. Instead, we get a glowing pendant that just blasts everything in a quick 5 min end battle scene. I feel like with the extra time, the characters could have been spread out, we could have had a few more good battle scenes, or at least character building. The FX were suprisingly good for a SyFy movie.

I feel the same way, a lot of potential only partially realized. The movie had its ups and downs but the ending was definitely rushed and gave neither a feel of impending doom nor glorious triumph. It's almost like the writers/producers gave up for the last ten minutes. A movie like this needs a final battle but that certainly wasn't the case and when the credits started rolling I felt rather cheated.

Still, as it is I found it entertaining but knowing it could have been so much better makes me sad.

Well it was way better then the first movie that had a over 100 million dollar budget. It was better then the second movie which was a low budget sequel to the first.

Its one hour 30 minutes. Any more and it would have worn out it's welcome. Your tv viewing had some material cut that made me question why it was rated Pg-13.
