It's "Zabinska" not "Zabinski"

In Polish language male surnames ends typically with "-ski", but female surnames ends with "-ska". So it's Jan Zabinski and Antonina Zabinska (I should also use polish letters in their names, but instead of them you would probably see some weird symbols like #). I hope they will stick to the true form of her name in the film.

And let me just say I'm very excited for this project to be finally in progress.
I sincerely believe Jessica will create something unforgettable.

I do not think that in the movie they will change her name for Polish end. I am not sure it is so important, the movie and facts in the story are more important. I am looking forward for the movie very much too but I read they are going to make it in Prague instead of Warsaw. Pity because I belong to those people who like something happens like that in original places and Poland has interesting history.👍

Sure, the facts are more important. But changing the name to "American style" is unnecessary and inexplicable to me. If they stick to the real characters, then, IMHO, they should stick to their real names, too.
The change of the name doesn't improve the story, so why would they do it in first place? Because that's easier for American audiences to adapt to the story? Then I call it laziness.

In Prague? I wasn't aware of that. Beautiful city, but now I'm really disappointed.

Anyway, the story of Jan Zabinski and his wife (who was a writer) is a wonderful one and deserves the big screen. I'm glad Hollywood found it worth the shot.

Yeah, I have read somewhere that the film will be shot in Prague. I do not know the Zabinski story at all except for it is written here but I believe it is a fascinating history so I keep fingers crossed and I am glad Chastain will play a lead role cause she is a good actress imho.👍

Don't think it makes much difference really.

They won't be speaking Polish either, just speaking English in bad Polish accents most likely. :)

Yeah, I know :)
Not everyone is Marion Cotillard ("The Immigrant").
