Wait…the young girl is using actual FILM?!

So let me get this straight. This movie takes place in the near future, and yet the aspiring young photojournalist is using actual 35mm film? And not just any film, but black and white film to boot? What on Earth was Alex Garland thinking? 35mm is hard enough to come by nowadays during the best of times, let alone in a war-torn future America. And don’t even get me started on where she’s procuring the chemicals to develop said film, or the question of just who she plans to sell her photos to (if she somehow manages to survive). What a pretentious pile of hipster twat this movie was.

I sort of enjoyed the movie but agreed as to the cam tech involved. My daughter is a photographer/media student and these college kids ALL use cell phones for recording and still pics.

Damn. Makes me feel old!

She wasn't using film. She made a joke to tell him she wasn't going to photograph him. Look at their facial expressions.

not sure what you're talking about. She had a film developing kit with her.

I don't recall that but I'll update my post -

She made a joke to tell him she wasn't going to photograph him and to quit hitting on her. Look at their facial expressions.

It really was a mess, and I was looking forward to it. The simple idea that these soldiers would tolerate press constantly being underfoot during a firefight was laughable in itself.
