Wait…the young girl is using actual FILM?!
So let me get this straight. This movie takes place in the near future, and yet the aspiring young photojournalist is using actual 35mm film? And not just any film, but black and white film to boot? What on Earth was Alex Garland thinking? 35mm is hard enough to come by nowadays during the best of times, let alone in a war-torn future America. And don’t even get me started on where she’s procuring the chemicals to develop said film, or the question of just who she plans to sell her photos to (if she somehow manages to survive). What a pretentious pile of hipster twat this movie was.
