If you've seen the flow of music biopics going back to the 90s, this was nothing new or special. Great music with watered down truth. It's fine and I enjoyed it, but nobody will even remember this movie a year from now.

shareI agree for the most part,eye candy has replaced good writing, but music biographies have been like this for a loooong time.
shareThey have been for the most part the average fan doesn't want to see anything really bad about their fave singer/artist. The grittiest bio pic I can think of is "Control" that doesn't make the singer or the rest of the band look too good, especially at the end.
