Amanda Peet's character was married to Rob Corddry's character?

I miss something on the translation. Or they were only friends?

I think they were a couple, but the movie doesn't really illuminate the state of their relationship. My theory is they both just accepted- implicitly or explicitly- that they were not going to be monogamous. It seemed like they had kind of given up on each other, and didn't care who was doing what with whom.

Joan had on a wedding ring so i assumed her and Kipp were married, not happily, but married.

It seems clear at the BBQ when Duncan reveals Trent and Josn having slept together, that Kip doesn't seem very phased by it, and possibly was aware of it himself
