Shouldn't Dunco's proposed employers need permission from his mother/guardian about working for them,being 14?Wouldn't he need a national insurance number .Can you work in a place like that being 14 years of age? Seems a little suspect to me.

Owen seems to be casual about a lot of things (for instance, employment law).

It may be why Duncan didn't tell anyone about his job, but hiring him was unwise on Owen's part for legal reasons.
