Title says it all. Loved it, still love it, always will love it. I found it accidentally, can't remember how, but it blew me away. It's one of those films that just comes along silently and knocks your socks off, and stays with you days after you have watched it.
Not sure I agree with the mention of "underrated". It's generally well liked and at 7.4 with approx. 120,000 ratings it's pretty much a fair score, IMO, given the type of film it is and the ways and whys people typically rate on IMDb. I gave it an 8, btw.
However, I only came across this film when Netflix added it to its fare a few years ago (re-watched it twice since) and I may not have heard about it otherwise, but I'm also so not a reference on that level as I don't watch TV or keep up with entertainment news or access news through outlets that will show trailers, etc., and I usually hear about films once released and others are talking about them or through my own research on sites like this one... But is it this aspect, some sort of limited distribution or wider awareness, that you're talking about re it being underrated, or do you just think it should have a higher score?
Ignorance is bliss... 'til it posts on the Internet, then, it's annoying.
Yes I was referencing the awareness of the film not the score.
