This show is still on air?

I seriously thought ppl stopped watching this after season 3 and they canceled it. Especially after all the backlash from Lena Dunham's book. I don't know anyone who actually likes her work or find her funny.

Anyway, just surprised that is all.

It never gained an audience and is only kept on the air because of Lena Dunham's mothers relationship with an executive at HBO. Nobody watches it.

The ratings for the show can be easily found online, so you can confirm yourself if a major change in the ratings occurred after season 3. Speaking for myself, I don't follow news about Lena and am uninterested in her as a person, so her book and its reception didn't affect my choice to watch the show.

I don't know anyone who actually likes her work or find her funny.

I watch Girls and know other people who do, but ultimately that doesn't matter. What matters is the hard data about how many people watch the show.
