I'm Rooting For Ray & Marnie To Be Endgame

I may be in the minority but I really enjoy Ray & Marnie as not only a couple but an endgame couple. I think they would he great. I never really got the appeal to either Ray & Shoshana or Hannah & Adam. I'm honestly so over Jessa I could care less whether she stays with Adam or not. I was actually kind of hoping Hannah and Fran would make it to the end but we all knew they wouldn't. So am I completely alone on feeling this way?

I also get why some people wouldn't want this happen. Marnie is pretty much tied with Jessa as the worst character. Plus she didn't even consider a serious relationship with Ray until just now when he has been there for her the last three years. However it did it's their last chance to get it right. So maybe they try and redeem all these characters by the series and have them grow up and start making the right choice. Ray would be the right choice.

Also I love Shoshana, I think she's the only likable one of the four. Her and Ray just didn't really click for me.

Agreed, except I will never be over Jessa because she is the love of my life. I hope her and Adam can be happy. I doubt it.

Marnie has improved so much, but I'm afraid she'll fck up her progress and reclaim her status as 'The Worst', by going back to Desi.

Ray's got his issues but he's way too good for Marnie, IMO. Marnie can't be alone and only gravitates to him when she wants validation that a man wants her. Has she ever given Ray a serious chance? No. And now, she's only gone back to him because Desi's moved on and she wants to show him that she's moved on too. Marnie is all about "give me emotional support" and not giving anything in return. She's awful, IMO.

I mean, really...think about how she pitched the "come on tour with me" thing. Not "I really want to be with you and we'd have fun," but "I need emotional support...and someone to get me coconut water...and vitamins." Yuck. Marnie's no different from the pretty girl using her looks to get some poor schlub to do things for her. I've no idea why Ray thinks she's the love of his life. Aim higher, Ray!

Ray deserves better. She has no respect for him and is using him to bolster her ego because she feels like a loser if she doesn't have a man in her life. He deserves somebody who really loves him and that's not Marnie.

Yes. Ray deserves better than Marnie. She's a narcissist:

"Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for admiration and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of ultraconfidence lies a fragile self-esteem that's vulnerable to the slightest criticism."

Just a Mayo Clinic definition but I think it fits her perfectly, especially the lack of empathy and vulnerability to the slightest criticism. I also think that Marnie's character has shown the least amount of growth throughout the whole series.

I'll be interested to see what the last few episodes hold. The characters can drive me nuts but I love it and will miss it when it's gone.

I think Jessa and Adam are very compatible and Shosh and Ray are as well
