Jennifer and the 'Friends' theme song.
Why does she seem to hate it that much? Does she have any hard feelings with "Friends" or what?

shareI just saw the movie and the bloopers reel, she looked kinda moved by the Friends theme song so I don't think she has any hard feelings at all.

She felt annoyed in my opinion.
shareNo sorry, you are way off the mark and interpreting the complex body language wrongly. She was caught off guard and was initially surprised ... then very moved by the moment, almost shedding tears of happiness that her costars had made such an effort on her behalf.
Aniston has said many times in many different ways that she loved being part of Friends and looked on her time with the show as almost like being part of a happy family.
Now that CGI is up to it will somebody PLEASE make a movie of Larry Niven's Ringworld
Sorry, I'll watch it again later tonight. ^^
shareEven if she was annoyed, she probably gets it on the daily. It's what she's most famous for. Kate Winston has stated that she is thoroughly annoyed by the "My heart will go on" theme from Titanic. It's hard to get out from under some shadows.
shareWell, to be fair, that song is awful. And was horrendously over-played on most radio stations at the time.

It was a prank. She's supposed to be annoyed or pretend to be :)
shareYeah she was shocked, then grinning ear to ear, then almost started crying as everyone was singing it to her. I thought it was great.

Thanks to Batman vs. Superman, the "S" on Supermeh's chest now stands for Sidekick
I literally just finished watching the scene in question and am typing this as it's paused in front of me. I like to think I am usually proficient at deciphering body language, but I concede that this is just my take on this "blooper" as it were. An opinion in which you should value at a higher premium than others. Since, my input is obviously a cold hard fact, as you have now seen my credentials. Those being from the University of "Self Aggrandizing Statements" on the "First-Person Citation" campus. Which does hold a higher accreditation than, University of Phoenix Online.
As it seems up for discussion and debate among viewers and those in the comments, please consider the following. I mean, if you enjoy being right. But who likes that? I mean, really?
0. She seems to be turning the mental gears in preparation for what she's expecting to happen next. (Or possibly playing a moment from the scene that happened prior to the clip starting. Context, I know right? What does it ever help when it comes to "understanding" things better? Psh...) Which is the song in the script will play and she will "react" to it as actors are known to do.
1. She hears a song that she clearly knows. Then, she almost mirrors the expression someone has when they see a normally bespectacled person without glasses. It's clear to them there is something different, but it isn't obvious what that could be.
2. She realizes that it isn't the "Waterfalls" song that she anticipated and had lines memorized for. Thereby throwing off her "mojo" for the remainder of the scene.
3. (You see her eyes dart around searching for meaning in her memory. Rummaging around in her collected thoughts like Sherlock Holmes, on a stroll through his "Mind Palace". She's now reaching for meaning behind the current song that is playing and the context, in which, it applies to her. She could even be trying to decide if it is just a technical error that this music is coming through the speakers. Maybe something innocuous and unplanned that accidently threw off the scene.) then... She recognizes it as the theme to the show she used to be on.
4. She has a flood of emotion hit her unexpectedly and nearly all at once. Emotions that are almost the same nostalgia she's meant to be conveying in the sabotaged scene. Happiness for her time on "Friends" the comradery and affection that is required to stage this kind of prank. The ugly emotions that the song might stir up and the
5. She realizes the prank and its intention. (Which as far as pranks go, it's the most jovial to great pay off balanced prank I've seen. It also does it with not a single person hurt. So, it's and A- in my book.)
6. She then recognizes that she is being ribbed not mocked and even though there is a slight hint of annoyance at the fact that even fellow actors aren't gonna let her get away from her past role of "Girl Next Door to America". She is still a decent, friendly person with a good nature. Who isn't gonna be an *beep* over something that didn't hurt her but did catch her off guard and therefore played an emotional game with her that most of us wouldn't appreciate. Even if we were expected to show mirth and elation at the surprise.
Not to mention, in all honesty, she was the "butt" of a joke. Which will make most of us angry. So, what I'm overly analytically saying is, that she wasn't mad, maybe slightly miffed for the most slight of seconds, but enjoyed and accepted it for the joke it was. Going so far as to compliment the event and its execution.
(Edited: Spelling corrected and I wanted to point out how bat *beep* crazy this response is. Thank you for reading it all. Also, the little clip of her having a prank pulled on her like that, was one of the most endearing moments I've ever seen in video form. It just felt really genuine and almost like a pleasant joke for all parties involved at a Comedy Central Roast. I just like this little movie and that was the perfect ending to what we're shown from the cast.)
The greatest story every told in six words. "For Sale: Baby Shoes, Never Worn." - Ernest Hemingway
I absolutely hate that song, it's so damn annoying. I think it's actually one of the main reasons why I could never get into the show.
shareyou should get some medication, buddy... the song is awesome and one of the reasons I watched the show and still catch for reruns...
sharePfft! That song sucks! Snowdog was right. It is an annoying song and the show Friends was rather annoying unrealistic as well.
That said, it was hilarious at what they did to Jennifer here. I loved it.
If you love someone, set them free. If they come back, nobody else wanted them either.
that song is garbage. it represents everything that was wrong with the 90s. ironically enough that band never had any other hits, so thankfully people didn't buy into their crap
It is almost as annoying as the 4 Non Blondes - What's Up dog crap song from the 90s as well.
Obviously you have really bad taste
right....
I'm sure she constantly gets called Rachel and asked about Friends, and I bet even on set people were good-naturedly ribbing her about it. Playing that song could have even been an ongoing joke. So I don't think she was annoyed at the theme song, but to me she seemed like she just wanted to get on with the scene and wasn't in the mood for a prank right then. After the fact she probably thought it was funny, but sometimes when people make a joke at your expense, in the moment, when you're not expecting it, it is irritating.
shareI don't think she seemed annoyed or that she hated it. I think she was surprised and a little embarassed.
You just might get lucky for once in your miserable life.
people have such stupid interpretations, gosh the comprehension of some people, i thought it was a great moment, and i song along,
...I'll beeeee theeere for youuuuuuuuuu
you mean you SANG along?
you are talking about stupid people and you say something as stupid as "I song along"
right....
Song along hahahaha.
shareI don't think she hated it. She seemed more surprised by it than anything.
shareI think it took her by surprise is all, but I don't think she seemed to hate that the song played. I thought it was rather cute the way she reacted to it. It looked like she was even starting to cry actually! :)

Stephanie, you're right. That was an important part of her life span and she was surprised but then appreciated the moment. It's part of a, "You've Come a Long Way, Baby" reaction.
shareshe shouldn't be surprised. the same prank was pulled on mark wahlberg when he co starred with aniston in rock star. they played a markey mark and the funky bunch song when his character was at a rock concert.
