Will I like this movie?

From the same director as Dodgeball and the same writers as Wedding Crashers both of which I adore. But I also love Vince Vaughn so maybe that is part of why I love those films so much.

But I saw part of Vacation last summer and it was NOT funny. Some say it is similar to this film. I don't mind vulgarity, but I don't like it when they go overboard with it. Wedding Crashers had just the right amount. It also had comedic timing, something lacking in many comedies today, including Vacation.

I just don't really see the appeal of most modern comedies. The Blood and Ice Cream trilogy along with some Vince Vaughn here and there is all I enjoy these days. I am no fan of Judd Apatow-style films. John Hughes is my favorite comedy filmmaker of all time. I love Peter Sellers' PP films, the Austin Powers films, most anything from David Zucker pre-2000s, the Chevy Chase Vacation films (Caddyshack and Fletch are great, too). I love South Park.
