When people compare Mykelti and Maddie, I am more like, let's compare Caleb and Tony. That tells us more about the differences in the two girls. The first time I saw Caleb onscreen I was so impressed with him - at his ease and confidence. Now watching this part where they are looking at wedding cakes, I just adore him. That has a lot to do with people having a different impression of the couples. Think how Tony acted the first time we saw him on screen.
shareI remember the first time Caleb was on sister wives people said he was odd or was way too quiet/seemed stuck up and then people defended him saying he wasn't used to being on camera and things like that. I don't really care for some of the things Tony said but I could easily say the same thing about him. Maybe he isn't used to being on camera, maybe he really does feel stupid about saying the home equity loan thing like he claims to etc. I don't think it is fair to judge him based on one episode really since people didn't like others judging Caleb after just one episode.
I saw none of that with Caleb - I thought he was immediately at ease in front of the cameras and with all the family. I specifically remember it because I was anticipating how he would act and I wouldn't fault either one for being uncomfortable, but Caleb wasn't and Tony was not only uncomfortable, he was awkward, inappropriate and weird.
shareI am on three different sister wives boards including this one and I saw that several times after Caleb's first episode. People were saying he didn't like being there or around the family and so on.
I think it is unfair to said Maddie is more mature than Mykelti since she has made some poor and questionable decisions just like Mykelti and unfair to judge Tony fully based on one episode when people were upset that others were judging Caleb after one episode.
Tony does seem more likable in this episode, he is willing to wait but Mykelti seems to be the one who isn't.
Seems just like the Caleb situation, people thought he was odd at first but the second episode he was in people liked him more. Kinda like what I said before the episode even happened today.
I'm only on this board & I don't remember anyone criticizing Caleb about anything. The only questionable decision Maddie made, in my mind, is getting pregnant so fast. Maddie is really smart, focused and Caleb is a mature man and the fact that both of them are going to school to help their future says volumes to me. Mykelti dropped out of 2 schools, was going to move to Seattle, then Kody & Christine had to get her the job and apartment in St George. I think they have gone out of their way to do things for Mykelti more than any of the older children. This relationship with Tony is just another example of her flightiness. The arguing over the wedding date is extremely immature.

sharePeople on this board said Caleb was uncomfortable when he first met the family? That was Alaska I believe. If he was quiet, how do you get a word in when the whole family is around? Before we met Caleb I was negative too, but after seeing him I completely changed my mind. Most people on this board are pretty positive when it comes to the kids. I'd like to see a negative post about Caleb like the ones about Tony.
shareThat is what people said and now people are bashing Tony even though he was just in one episode and said something stupid, it is the same situation with different factors. That is the point.
Now people love Caleb but at first some did not.
We will just have to agree to disagree because I never saw a post bashing Caleb like Tony because Caleb is not Tony.
