Kody and Tony, wedding hypocrisy

Last week I was in Kody and Christine's camp on making MyKelti and Tony wait to get married because they've only known each other for 6 months. But tonight we learn that Meri and Kody got engaged after 2 months and married 4 months later. And look how their relationship is now! Tony, when Kody asks you to consider waiting, he asks from experience. Ok, that was a low blow, but Kody doesn't have a leg to stand on here. At least he finally said that he wanted them to wait because money is an issue, although he said it kind of jokingly. funny how he has no trouble telling the camera he can't afford the wedding so soon, but can't tell MyKelti or Tony.

We hope our children will learn from our foibles and it's hard to compare what Kody and the sister wives did with any other relationships. The main reason they don't want them to get married in August, after confirming Mykelti was going to get married no matter what is because it wasn't logistically possible. It had nothing to do with money because TLC pays for everything and if I had taken a drink every time Kody started talking about sex, I'd be passed out.

I don't think Kody is being hypocritical. Even though he was lucky that his relationship with Mary worked out as long as it did, I think he knows now after so much experience that rushing was not smart. I think he realizes like most adults who have been married a long time that it's better if you go into marriage with a level head. I think it's about money, having another wedding already and experience.

Why the heck is Kody having all these conversations with Tony, who he barely knows, and not with his own daughter?! A virginal wedding night is only one night, but marriage is supposed to be for life and honestly, I would rather they have sex than to make a rash decision and get married and have it not work out.
