August is Fall?

Mykelti said she really wanted her wedding in August b/c she wanted a fall wedding. Since when is August considered fall? Am I wrong by thinking its actually summer??

I thought the same thing, but I think she was thinking in terms of school semesters since she did mention her siblings going back to school. I sort of think of August as fall now too because of that - back to school ads & some kids start school in the middle of August.

School wise it's fall but season wise it's summer.

She's not getting married in the summer or the fall so she doesn't have to figure that one out.

I don't think of August as fall because it's still HOT !

August is 100% summer! And actually most of September is too. The autumnal equinox happens at the end of the third week, but I can understand thinking of September as all Fall. But definitely not August, that is all summer!

Las Vegas in August is definitely summer. It's a desert!

She is getting married in the Fall, Winter doesn't officially start until the 21st of December.

August in the desert may officially be fall, but the temperatures are definitely summer. Trust me, I live there.

One reason she said August would be ideal...because it's cooler (temperature-wise). Ummm...they're in the Mojave Dessert...!?!?! Cooler than a blow-torch maybe?!?!

Yeah seriously...I'm in north GA and August is the second hottest month (after July).

I'm curious where they're having the wedding in December with 400 people. Aspyn tweeted last night

Everyone is doing their finals and I am here attempting to craft bouquets while simultaneously hot gluing my finger prints off.

So is she getting married in Las Vegas outside in December?

It would not surprise me...she seemed really set on an outdoor wedding. If she could have waited a few months longer she could have had one that made more sense! I think Mykelti said they were getting married in St. George, though?

Well, maybe they are getting married in St. George - Aspyn tweeted again about making bouquets and she was asleep and in Las Vegas. I guess St George isn't too far from Vegas, unlike where Maddie got married.
