Poor Savanna

I thought Savanna seemed so sad that she wasn't in Maddie's wedding. I know Maddie is close with Mindy, but to have Sol and Truley in the wedding and no special place for her sister seemed cruel. She could have been a junior bridesmaid or something!

I agree, Maddie could have included her somewhere in the wedding, after all she is her only "full" sister. Maddie doesn't seem really close to her younger siblings at all jut the older ones.

Yeah, not sure what the story is. But I can say that it is tough to find a spot for everyone when planning a wedding, especially if one is trying to keep things on a smaller scale. I was not able to include my only niece and one of my close cousins - I would've loved to have included them, but that would've either made the bridal party bigger or would've extended the ceremony with another reading or two, and it was already as big and as long as I could take, lol.

Truly and sol are a flower girl and ring bearer. Savanna is at an age where she is too young to be a bridesmaid and too old to be a flower girl. No need to create a whole new title for her. They were raised to think all the kids as their siblings, not simply the ones born to their mom. I am sure if savanna really wanted to be in, Madison would have found a way to include her.

I am sorry but it's a total exaggeration to call it cruel.

I agree, Maya. Even in small families, not everyone can be in the ceremony. Savannah will have her day or days.

I agree. My dad got married last summer and out of 7 grand kids, my son was the only one in the wedding as a ring bearer. It was a small wedding. He was 8 at the time but my nephew above him was 11 and he wouldn't have wanted to do that lol. So the age thing does play a factor but in Maddie's sake, I would have tried to find something for Savanna to do even if it meant she follows Truley down the aisle as a helper.

Ever thought being the glower girl helper would not appeal to a young teen? Honestly most girls that age would feel like they were being treated as a baby. I think they handled it well. She got her hair done Ruth the bridal party and got doe Hal flowers to wear. She didn't look too disappointed. I know how many times i had to duty and get people to sign the guest book as good meaning relatives didn't want me to feel left out. Honestly I would have rather been just a guest, I was so bored. Only iodide, I got a wrist corsage as my version if a bouquet.

Savanna isn't a teen, she's like 10. Hardly a teen. I think you are confusing her with Gwen who is a teen I believe. Or Savanna could have been an usher. Idk.

reply

Savanna is either 11 or 12. Generally the groomsmen act as ushers.
