Those handmade dresses from the commitment ceremony

What a hilarious disaster bahahahaha. They showed that episode again tonight and the way those dresses turned out were HIDEOUS, and 2 of them didn't even get made! Sam asking Robin if she 'happened' to have another dress 30 minutes before the ceremony. And Christine coming out in her rusty orange Medieval times dress. Comedy gold lol.

I know they showed Christine in her dress, but there was one scene that was very quick and she was in a different dress. So poor Janelle had to wear that blue thing and the sad part is Janelle was at her smallest and she could have bought a dress that looked really good on her.

reply

I had forgotten how awful those dresses were. I thought, "Game of Thrones Matron" for Christine's. Janelle's was a nice color, but boy did it look sloppy. Meri looked great, that shade of green worked for her.

reply

Lol! And yes I agree the colour looked great on Jenelle but wow was the execution awful. I hope that girl found a different career path!!

reply

But in all fairness to Sam, they KNEW she was fresh out of fashion school. She gave them what they wanted. Was the sewing crap, yes. But she can't be blamed for the style. That was what the Kodettes asked for.

reply

I can't enjoy these storylines when they're so fake. They asked her to make 4 dresses 3 weeks before the event? That would be difficult for a seasoned seamstress, wouldn't it? I'm not sure what the point was of that, except to give Sam some publicity. But it really backfired. I know Christine changed into another dress. I guess Janelle was the only one stuck - probably because she hates to go shopping and didn't have anything in her closet like Robyn.

Lol ahh the cult signing ceremony. I love that one. Those dresses were a steaming, boiling, lava burning hot mess. Christine looked like she stepped away from a formal dinner with Shakespare to join us in the 21st century for a bit. Sobbin looked like she was going on some goth, evil, 1950's prom, Meri looked like an edamame bean, and poor Janelle liked like a tent. Even at the wedding last week Kody was nice enough to say she looked pretty but she looked like a huge storm cloud.

reply

Agreed. I've seen better looking dresses (and probably way cheaper) at Goodwill.

reply

The Kodettes have never been the beacon of fashion. Ever.

reply

That is a true statement!
