Maddie's pregnancy

I saw a tweet she made about watching the episode and her wedding, and that her baby was kicking up a storm. She claims to be due on June 1,2017 , which would make her around 3 1/2 months pregnant. A bit early for her baby to be kicking up a storm, right?!

Hmmnnn, something not adding up right. I thought she was fudging her due date right from the start because she looked much farther along than her dates. Maybe they really did get married while Caleb's mom was still alive. When was it that they moved in together?

reply

I may be wrong about her due date- June 1 was one of her twitter followers due date. Is she due in May perhaps?

reply

She is due May 23. Which puts her at over 17 weeks. And you can indeed feel the baby moving at 16 weeks, some mothers earlier than that. She would have conceived in mid to late August. Many first time moms show early.

I find it a joke people think they are going to try and play the premature card. Because fans are so stupidvright, that they will buy a six week premature right pound baby.

I read her baby was due in May. I've never had a baby, but it seems like they could start kicking at 4 months. Julie - you know you're creating something from nothing. If the baby comes in March then I'll acquiesce and if DesertDude can find proof they were married before June then OK. But you're just starting gossip. 😱

reply

She is due in May. 3 months does seem a little early for the baby kicking.

reply

She is seventeen weeks, based on her may 23 due date. Babies can be felt moving at sixteen, even earlier in some.

Each woman is different. I didn't feel my daughter move until I was 24 weeks.

In a first pregnancy, movement is usually felt on average from 16-25 weeks. At first it feels like a slight fluttering-like butterfly wings flapping. Maddie's wording that her baby was "kicking up a storm" could be an exaggeration I guess. No way a first time Mama at 17 weeks is feeling her baby "kicking up a storm"...

Haha, I have no proof whatsoever that she is farther along -just gut instinct. I guess time will tell. It's fun to speculate and catch them in their fibs.

From what I was just reading, all mothers are different. Here is a YouTube video of a woman's baby 'moving' at 4 months. If we can see that movement, that kid is kicking.

Every woman is different as is every pregnancy. A 17 week fetus weighs on average 5 ounces. The first signs of movement are often called quickening- because they are a very slight, subtle feeling. A woman's fundus ( the top of the uterus) usually doesn't reach her umbilicus until around at least 18 weeks. Later on in the pregnancy outward signs of baby kicking and moving are definitely visible. In my pregnancies I felt very faint fluttering around 15 -16 weeks. Not anything close to what could be called kicking. Same with most of the women I have cared for.

Maddie has always carried weight around her middle and that could make her look farther along. Even though she had lost weight before the wedding, I thought she looked like she still had a chubby tummy in her wedding gown.

reply

Janelle definitely carries weight in her tummy. It looks like Savannah is going to do the same. I thought Maddie looked large when we saw the first photo and maybe she is farther along. I just don't believe the other stuff unless I see some facts.

I'm due with my second on May 18, and I felt some flutters from this baby around 15-16 weeks, and baby has been "kicking" (i.e., more prominent movement) a lot the past week and I'm almost 19 weeks now.

Dexter: I would give everything to feel nothing again.

Congrats Calico!!!

WHO DAT!

she had gas from all that hot air kody was spewing. I kid, I kid. Anyway, with it being her first pregnancy, she's super excited and her flutters feel like big kicks although they aren't really

reply

Maddie has experienced more pregnancies than most first time moms, so she's probably more aware of what it's like, even though it's the first time she's gone through it herself.
