Wedding
Kody's officiating was simply embarrassing and then not to even do the rings. So wrapped up in hearimg himself talk.

shareI watched the show last night - seeing the old stuff was great, but when it came to Maddie and Caleb's ceremony, I muted the TV. It was so cringe-worthy because of Kody.
shareSo many of the older kids seem to really have common sense. They have to be embarassed by him. He is a child. They can love him but still be embarrassed.
shareOf course Meri HAD to heckle them to remind them they forgot the rings.
shareTo be honest, Meri was in her element and if I were Maddie Id have loved to had Meri's help with the planning. Yes she's "that" mom but planning is her thing and no doubt things would have been organized. She didn't seem to mind helping with the official wedding day operations. Meri is annoying but she'd be the first mom Id go to for planning anything.
shareI agree! If it was up to Janelle that wedding would have been a total disaster. She's completely useless it seems.
~Oh look... a room full of men that have NO idea how to satisfy a woman.~
Planning isn't her thing and neither is interacting with her children (but that's a whole other topic). But yea, having Meri help plan things would have kept her busy in a positive way and she would have loved doing it.
shareAs opposed to...what? Saying nothing? How in the world is that heckling when it's a crucial part to the ceremony that may couples look forward to the most?
shareI agree. It was hard to watch Kody's performance without gagging.
Just wondering about the men's outfits. Are those vests and tan pants typical for their religion, or just a personal fashion choice.
I hate going to events where the speaker, MC, pastor, rambles. It's embarassing and uncomfortable. If they are bad at least if the talk is short you are out of your misery quickly.
shareI agree. Rambling speakers are just awful . They usually try to be funny and it falls flat because only a handful of guests are in on the "joke". If they're not trying to be funny, they sound as though they think they are on their therapist's couch, blubbering and sentimental. or they try the wise person tact and dole out meaningful advice that no one will remember. Of course Kody, being the showboat that he is chose all of the above. ANd waited to prepare his remarks until the last minute to increase suspense and keep a focus on himself. Probably thought he'd be brilliant and everyone would be impressed that he did it on the cuff.
shareI totally agree.
shareIt was a Bohemian theme. It has nothing to do with the religion.
