The Catfishing

Meri can't jam down our throats enough how she's getting over it, getting closure, how long it's been and how she's done with it, etc.
For someone who is so over it and wasn't head-over-heels in love with the person she thought she was talking to, she SURE doesn't act accordingly. For once in a rare occasion, I agree with Kody when he said he doesn't get why she is going to meet this woman.

This is an absolute OBSESSION for her. Now, I'm not completely without a heart. I was emotionally "Catfished" when I was 19-20. Basically he was who said he was in appearance, yet TOTALLY put on an act and played with my emotions. So I understand how painful deception is. I understand it isn't something you get over quickly.

But I will say this- I was very much in love with this person, infatuated even. Completely. And at a year after, I was almost completely over it, as in, MOVING FORWARD with my life, not constantly talking about closure and yet retaining an unhealthy fixation on him.

Clearly Meri is obsessed with the situation. I'm so sick to death of her yakking constantly about it. She's seriously unhealthy emotionally. Dragging the situation out further isn't getting closure, Meri.

It's obsession.

The "obsession", as you put it, is by the producers of the show who want to further create drama to get ratings for the show.

I'm so sorry for your situation, but you didn't have a TV show. That's why Meri hasn't 'gotten over it'.

I have a question. From what she said, she stopped having Kody over and told him to basically get out of her life. Was that while she was talking to Sam? If so, how humiliating. She thought the grass was greener with Sam and started icing Kody out, only to find out there was no Sam. Had Sam been real, Meri would have left them.

It's confusing why she told Kody to stay away. At first, I thought it was because she was afraid that her house was bugged and her behavior towards everyone, including the sister wives was to protect them, but now it appears she just didn't want Kody around so she could devote all her time to 'Sam'. We aren't getting the full picture and it seems Kody isn't either.

I have had my fill of Meri's catfish episode. She needs to let it go and stop using it as a crutch to get through EVERYTHING that happens. Damn it, so sick of it...
Oh...and Robyn....SHUT UP...

It's not "an obsession" -- it's called a storyline, and it just got banished now that Mariah is gay, which is a MUCH better storyline and it's current! So Meri has to think of a NEW storyline. It must be exhausting...!
