Mariah is being a bitch

So Mariah is still upset about 'Sam', but I don't know what she wants Meri to do about that. The fact she left her mother out of all the feelings she has been having and what she's been going through is bound to affect Meri. Now when Meri is trying to reach out, Mariah is just being a jerk.

agreed.....

Oh My God Mariah grow the hell up alreaedy!!! The catfish crap happened over a year ago and your still not over it?!?!?!?!?! GROW UP already and GET OVER IT and stop being a bitch to your mother!!

reply

Agree, grow up and realize your mother can make mistakes too, forgive and move on!!!!

reply

Completely agree! I've always thought she was a whiney spoiled brat. "No, I'm going to private school and not public school like my other siblings and No, I'm going to Westminster no matter how much it costs you!"

reply

She has changed for the better because I follow her on Twitter and she's way more grounded and humble than she used to be. However, she was raised as a spoiled brat. But I do wonder how much of this is for the show.

I have never found Mariah to be very easy to get along with. Her little fit when their house wasn't done as quickly as she wanted, really showed a not so good side to her personality...

It has been a while, but I don't think she is being a bitch. Her mom still hasn't accepted her share of responsibility for it, or admitted that she would have ended her family if Sam had been real, or said sorry sincerely (that we've seen on camera). Maybe Mariah is processing her feelings just like her mother: poorly.

I think people if they took off the brat glasses, wpuld look at this like grown ups. There is this funny thing called trust. It's something that us built over time and when broken, is pretty damn hard for anyone to mend. It's not about the cat fish. It's the fact her mother broke her trust. Like any adult, coming out us scary. Especially when one your family is public and two are very religious. To tell someone, anyone, you have to trust they will support you. Meri had obviously not earned her trust back. It is very telling that Logan and not any of her parents, or.sisters, she came out to first. Logan is her big brother. She obviously felt safe with him, that he would accept who she was. And it seems she was right.

I actually disagree. Her mother had an emtoional affair, to me, that constitutes cheating. I wouldn't just "get over it" if my mother cheated on my father (in fact, she did, and 15 years later it still makes me feel like I can't trust her). I think everyone agrees, if Sam had turned out to be a man, Meri would be long gone by now. And I don't blame Mariah for being hurt about that.

reply

If what Meri did constitutes as cheating, she cheated on Kody, not Mariah. Meri made the mistake of involving Mariah with her "friendship" of the catfish, and apparently Mariah was wise to what was happening and tried to warn Meri. It is understandable that Mariah is disappointed in her mom, and it is a difficult lesson to learn that one's parents are human and fallible. However, I think Mariah needs to either hash it out with Meri, or let it go. Over a year has gone by, and her behavior now reeks of pouting, and using it to hurt her mother.

Kody needs to speak up and really encourage Mariah to let this go. It isn't healthy for any of them regardless of whether Kody and Meri salvage their relationship or not.
