The episode with Meri going to Atlanta

Oh man....so many things. First off, I really don't watch this show too often, mostly just on re-runs and knowing what I read from a skimming an online article periodically and I apologize if this has already been said....but,

I couldn't believe the things she was saying when she was describing the catfishing. She had all these "red flags" that she acknowledges and chooses to ignore, but still agreed to go on an out of state trip with this "Lindsey" even though she'd never even met "Sam". She sent this person stuff pertaining to their family business to sign to become an investor? Not only that, but it wasn't just a meet you in California trip, but lets meet at my house and drive there together?!?! And then she let this person use her computer? And then after finally figuring it out and the catfisher says "I guess Cheryl has probably contacted you already", but she said no...

So when this Cheryl does actually contact her, wouldn't a normal person think "Who's this Cheryl? She has to be just another personality of this person and they're trying to save face" But no....lets fly across the country and meet her too.

And speaking of Cheryl, I think she said this happened to her in 2012 or 2013. Good Lord, move on. It's ben 3,4,5 years. They don't want to use the word "victim" because it gives this person the power. You don't think hanging on to this for a handful of years isn't giving the person power? She has to be actively looking for people that this person is scamming. It's sad.

Turn the phone off, block the phone number, turn the computer off...and go fix your messed up marriage Meri and stop playing the VICTIM.

I think a lot of what Meri has said about when she knew something was wrong is a bunch of horse manure. I think she is just saving face because she doesn't want to admit the extent of this situation. The information about the financial documents was new information. How could she do that without anyone knowing? The part I particularly like is her story about going into the airplane gift shop and that's how she figured it out.

As far as this Cheryl woman, I have no idea how she contacted Meri or how Meri knew she was real. She could have contacted her through Facebook, but she didn't have a Twitter account until that episode aired. Part of me thinks she's an actress and she was thrown in so Meri could explain once again to the viewers how she was catfished without talking to family members. Because they don't want anything to do with it.

'Cheryl' has had other twitter accounts before this one. There was a website that I linked way back when this entire fiasco started that revealed Jackie Overton for the snake in the grass that she is. 'Cheryl's' story was discussed in great detail on that website.

The owner of the website and 'Cheryl' reached out to Meri back then; I remember seeing them post messages to Meri on her Twitter account, which Meri deleted. Meri just wasn't ready to listen to the truth.

Sorry, but I find it strange she would delete Twitter accounts if her real name is online and on Twitter and then when she has the publicity of the TV show, she suddenly creates a new account. I realize those scenes were for Meri to 'tell her story', but Cheryl said very little about Sam as I recall.
