There was an ick factor for me when Kody was questioning Mariah after she revealed she is gay. Kody said " so you had girl crushes? How many girl crushes did you have? What kind of girl crushes"?.......
That seemed odd.
That struck me as odd as well. I would have been a bit creeped out by those questions if I were Mariah. I'm sure it was just genuine curiosity, and Kodi is pretty tactless, but it still came off weird.

He was trying to figure out if she was really gay or just experimenting or confused. He wanted to see how far she went into this life style to know that she is really certain.
