For those of you not familiar with this or who haven't kept up, this is a great history of this litigation. I'm sure the Browns are disappointed, but they went a long way.

Too bad. I was hoping that they would win this case. I can't see any reason that their relationships should be illegal. For me it falls into the consenting adults category.

Here is the local coverage:

This is from the Darger Facebook page that Kody tweeted.

January 27 at 11:23am: In 2 weeks from today we want to gather liberty minded people from across the State and the nation to let the people in power know their years of threatening us with a felony to be silent- to not acknowledge our private marriage arrangements, has harmed the innocent and will no longer be accepted. Please join us at 3:00 p.m. on February 10 in a March for freedom. We shall prevail.

It is scheduled to be on the steps of the Utah State Capitol.

reply

That should be interesting. I wonder how many people will show up?

reply

They have had other rallies before and a lot of people have shown up. I have a feeling this one will get a lot of support, not only from the Polygamist communities, but also the Libertarians.

reply

How many have shown up? You don't think the Browns are going, do you?

reply

Before their fame the Browns (Kody and Christine) were always present at rallies. That is how the production company found out about them. They were very visible in the lobbying efforts at the legislature.

Kody told Joe Darger on Twitter he would be there. I am curious to see who will show up.

reply

I didn't realize that the Brown's lawyer sometimes is a pundit on the news shows. He's been on CNN giving his opinion about the Trump executive order and his opinion is Trump is within the law.

reply

You can't be surprised that The Browns would pick a lawyer that held their conservative views. And no, *beep* IS NOT within the law--Yes, I know you didn't say that and the lawyer did.

reply

I don't think all the Browns agree with each other politically. Kody and Mariah are the ones who are pretty outspoken and they are on different sides.
