I may have missed this in what IMDB said, but this is in the article.

According to IMDb, it plans to launch new features in 2017 to help users “communicate and express themselves in meaningful ways,” without providing details.

Well if meaningful ways means on their Facebook page or Twitter, they are full of *beep* I have Twitter but I only use it while The Voice is on for the instant save. I'm not too convinced people would flock to their Facebook page to talk about shows because most shows have a Facebook page now and people go the show's page.

which is odd, the original post from imdb says theyre even removing private messaging.
