Kody sure misunderstood the burning bridge question--TWICE!

First time, he shows NO enthusiasm to rescue his wife who is about to die on a burning bride. Cue other 3 wives to tell him, "If there was a human there, would you rescue him/her?" while Mari looks on with dagger eyes.

THEN he brings it up for a second wack at it and swings and misses. He thinks that his and Mari's relationship is "the burning bridge," and says, "It is not on fire, we're doing fine."

It was a stupid question. He said he isn't walking away from the marriage, which is the most important thing to say, and I believe him. Meri needs to decide if she can keep living like this, or divorce and find a "man" who will stroke her ego as much as she needs. Kinda like the cat fisher.......

smh............stroke her ego???? really?!?!?!?! geesh............

reply

I just thought it was so weird he didn't IMMEDIATELY say, "Of course I'd rescue my wife if she was in danger!"

reply

It's kind of a silly question. Would you cross a burning bridge if Meri was on the other side? Well if she's safe on the other side, I'll jump in my car and drive the long way round to get her. (Maybe I'm taking the question too literally!)

reply

Didn't he have that vacant look in his eyes? He used to have that look a lot in the beginning. He's either really stupid or acting for the show.

reply

Or maybe, he doesn't want to lie and tell the truth, which is no he will not cross a bridge to save Meri.

It's obvious to me that Meri should cut her losses and live a monogamous life with a man that truly loves her and only her.

Kody was pretending to be obtuse but he knew exactly what that question meant. Their relationship is so damaged that he could not even give Meri that one small kindness. I think he figures if Meri is on a burning bridge it is because she walked out on it and lit it.

reply

I disagree. If Kody understood the question he would have immediately said yes, even if he didn't believe it.

reply

They should have followed up with: would you spit on Meri if she was on fire?
