I found this movie to be more than a comedy. It's about the journey and obstacles in relationships and family. I felt that it showed difficult situations and how some people work through them in an illuminating way. It was uplifting but the obstacles really resonated with me.
I agree! I didn’t realize this film was going to get so real, lol, but I really enjoyed it. It was a genuine movie about alternative ideas to parenting. It was a great study of how conventions can sometimes make sensible decisions difficult to accept. I also liked that the comedy in the film wasn't slapstick, it was built into the situations and made sense, as if it were based of memories of real events. I also thought Jennifer did a great job setting the tone as Julie. She's just so great at capturing fleeting emotions and it's like you're a fly on the wall while she's experiencing these deeply personal conflicts, I just love her. In my eyes, she gets it right every time.
Totally! This is a film that forces you to reflect. It was insightful and gave refreshing truths on relationships. Julie is a compelling character and Jennifer's acting is terrific. I felt really connected to her emotions. It was real, raw, and in the moment.
It's a great comedy and all of my favorite comedians are in it, like Maya Rudolph and Kristin Wiig. I really enjoyed seeing everyone do more that just comedy. This movie covered all moods and feelings. It was funny, romantic, real, intense, heartbreaking, fun, and joyful.
