Interesting!
This film was funny, witty, and romantic. For a rom-com this raised some interesting questions about friendship, marriage, love, and having kids. I’d like to point out why it was such a meaningful piece for me. There comes a time in your adult life when you wonder about kids. In today’s modern society, many women fear missing the opportunity to have kids the older they get, due to factors that may include getting caught up with work and a career, not finding the ‘right’ relationship, money, and lifestyle. I’m really glad there’s a film like this that women in this position can relate to. However, there are universal themes to discover throughout this film that everyone can relate to! When exploring typical marriage and family dysfunctions, it was hilarious and charming. When exploring love, friendships, and what happens when you bring kids into the picture, I was interested and engaged in the story. I laughed out loud and really enjoyed the story of this group of ‘Friends.’
The cast was solid. Jennifer stands front and center in this film and is beautiful. I thought she was amazing as a mother, she was fun as a friend, and captivating throughout her journey. The comedy was great and above all, I find this movie intellectually stimulating and very moving.
