shareI was thinking the same thing. The main actors in this are very likable. Here name sticks out in the credits like a sore thumb before you see the film.
I'm guessing that her casting people (She had three.) wanted to portray Jason's taste in women as being on the shallow side, especially compared to his best friend. So they thought, "Who can we get that a really shallow guy would like?"
"Well, for once the rich white man is in control!" C. M. Burns
I think you've summed this up perfectly. She really added nothing to the movie besides a 'reward' to the boyfriends who were dragged along :)
No doubt the movie studio wanted a big name cameo to raise the profile. But check the blu-ray extras - much respect to her for her video game prowess!

You're not going to like the entire movie just because it features an actress you don't like?... Is this a joke?

To be fair she has more screen time than Wiig, but I rather enjoyed Megan Fox in this movie. I find her incredibly appealing. This coming from a gay man.

I thought that Megan Fox's acting was actually pretty decent in this film. I was rather surprised that the Mary Jane character got much more onscreen time than Missy did.
shareThey had to meet the toe thumb quota in this movie, and that's why she is in it.
You want a toe? I can get you a toe, believe me. There are ways, Dude.
I don't use "lol" but I literally laughed out loud and almost choked on my food reading this!
shareLOL!! All I ever do when she's on screen is to look for her toe thumbs. It's rather distracting.
shareYou would think she would tire of playing the same kind of character over and over.

She wasn't bad, and her character wasn't a mean bitch or anything, she was kind of likable. It's just that it was clear her character and Adam Scott's were in to very different places in their lives but that was ignored because A) He just wanted a hot girlfriend, and B) She wasn't mature enough to see the bigger picture that He has a kid, and eventually she would need to adapt or move on. Too bad they wasted 2 years trying to find out.

I wonder if people realize how utterly stupid they sound when they proudly declare the presence of a certain actor or actress will stop them from watching and/or liking a film or show.
Aside from that, Megan Fox was actually a good character and her acting was on par with the rest of the cast. I mean, unless someone has a prejudice against beautiful women there's really no reason not to like her and certainly no reason to refuse to see this movie.
