Plastic Surgery Nightmare

God I watched the whole movie amazed at what a complete wreck Westfeldt's face is. Its just a plastic surgery nightmare. The frozen botoxed upper lip is so distracting I couldn't even hear what she was saying. And the scene where she tries to drink out of a champagne flute is outrageous.
Absolutely horrific.

And this all came entirely to late as a sign(specifically, Lay the f&ck off!!)to Senora Fox...

reply

It was really distracting, wasn't it? She used to be so pretty. Now she has these ENORMOUS cheeks, and her eyes and mouth are so tight you can hardly understand her words. And this from a classically-trained actress. I think she did a good job on the role, but her face was so distracting it was sometimes hard to stay with the story.

reply

Wow, thank you! I was wondering what was wrong with her face, and then I felt terribly guilty, because I usually try not to judge people based on looks. It's just that her face looked so ... stiff.

reply

I just saw it and thought the same thing, what the HECK was wrong with her face? Looked like barbie-doll material.

reply

Seriously! I too was like WTF is up with her face. She looked utterly disgusting.

reply

I am no stranger to the wonders of Botox, but this woman is a cautionary tale for sure.

Yes, it's disturbing. The whole movie I was thinking that she really looks like an ape. She could honestly be a Planet of the Apes character with almost no make up.

Awww that's so sad! You are completely right! :(

reply

Oh sad. I was thinking the exact same thing. She continuously puts her lip down over her teeth and makes it ten times worse.

It ruined the whole film - which doesn't count for much, but still.

reply

So glad I'm not alone. The lips and cheeks took center stage throughout the movie. The story was really weak to begin with, but the cast would have made up for it had they not cast Jennifer W. I took 5 stars off my rating for the bad casting.

reply

You realize she wrote and directed it, right?

reply

lmao, I just KNEW there would be a thread on her face when I looked this movie up on IMDB after seeing it tonight. I didnt know what the heck was going on with her face.

I don't know about the plastic surgery, but I thought she looks a little like Zoe Wanamaker.

reply

That's what it was! I was watching this movie and felt like there was just something not right.

reply

I was thinking the same. I've never seen her in anything prior to this so I just wondered if she was ageing well or something but after reading some comments on here I guess she's had some work done - botox and cheek implants? It was a bit distracting as I kept wondering why she looked so different to most of the others in the cast in terms of ageing - Rudolph, Wiig and her real-life partner, Jon Hamm.

reply

A very distracting face indeed!

Has she had surgery? I also have never seen her anything else. There was that scene after the baby is born when they are discussing the baby's features and she says something about how she was happy that the baby had the father's upper lip. Since the actress herself wrote and directed the movie I assumed that she was calling attention to the fact that she doesn't like that specific feature about herself. It made me think that maybe she didn't have surgery....

reply

She kind of looked like my grandmother from 20 years ago, when she was 65.

reply

and the guy left Megan Fox to get back to her... brilliant (!)

reply

Uh maybe type spoilers before you ruin the ending a movie for people who haven't seen it. Ass****.

reply

You're seriously complaining when you came to a board specifically for a 3-year-old movie?
