Dorit's accent
She sounds like an American actor trying to portray an English accent and failing. It just sounds so pretentious. We get it, you're super cultured but you come off phoney.

shareRemember when Madonna got a silly accent after she hooked up with some fool from England? Well, there you go!
shareWell she acquired more of an accent by moving to England during the "W" presidency!

it comes and goes too..It is like my kids when they use to play at being French.
Is this exclusive to Americans? LVP has lived in America for probably longer than the time Dorit spent in England but she doesn't have an American accent
shareI rolled my eyes at that too! Not a good start. I have no idea who this lady is so I was a blank slate coming into this season, no opinions on her whatsoever. After watching the premiere though I think I'll find her as annoying as Yoyawnda.

By her logic, since I've been to the south I can just start speaking with a southern accent. Who cares if it sounds fake, if I've been there I should be able to speak with that accent!

She sounds like neurotic daughter Carol Weston in the 80s sitcom 'Empty Nest,' played by Dinah Manoff (who was raised in NY & L.A.).
I think Dorit's accent is a variation of an E. Coast JAP accent (Jewish American Princess), influenced a little bit by having an English husband.
I remember carol! her accent on the show was whiny and annoying!
