Who are the interns (for lack of a better term)? Are they barristers in training? What is their correct title? What's Billy's?
Billy is the senior clerk. The people who sit around the table with him are clerks. The interns are "pupils". They're barristers in training, who've completed their education but haven't yet passed the bar.
